Redbanks Scholarship

Redbanks Scholarship Foundation was created in 2008 to honor the hard working farm laborers of the original Redbanks Orchard Co. located a few miles west of Woodlake. The company dates back to 1902. In its heyday it had up to 500 employees in the packing house and up to 1,000 employees in the fields. At one time they had the largest deciduous fruit ranch in Tulare County. Located in the ranch were humble homes for some employees. These families recognized the importance of education and a hard work ethic. Four individuals raised in Redbanks and looking to help Woodlake High School students with similar backgrounds created this scholarship foundation.

Criteria: College bound, rigorous GPA, active in school and the community. The family must have economic need, ideally a Hispanic family with farming or migrant background.
